Murphy’s Jewelers was founded by Jerome Murphy in 1939. Jerome’s son, Richard Murphy joined his father in 1972 and has since accumulated over 40 years of experience and has made Murphy’s Jewelers what it is today.
Richard’s daughter Maggie is also a part of the team, making Murphy’s a third generation establishment. Mark Williams and Aaron Wilkerson both joined the store in the early 1990’s. Mark is a managing partner of the store and has 24 years of experience, and Aaron is Murphy’s Bench Jeweler with over 21 years of experience. Chelsea Walsh is partner and has been with Murphy’s for over 6 years.
“I have loved jewelry and what it represents ever since I met my husband who’s family has been in business over 75 years. I have learned that the gift of jewelry is a timeless act of love After inheriting many beautiful pieces from my mother in law and grandmother, when I wear them I feel a direct link between past and present, with a vision of my daughters and granddaughters wearing the same pieces in the future. Jewelry truly represents a girls best friend.”
“Buying jewelry is an emotional purchase, even years later it will remind you of that special moment. We hope to help create many more memorable Murphy’s moments in the future.”
“My father, Jerome Murphy, founded Murphy’s Jewelers in Magnolia Arkansas during the South Arkansas Oil Boom in April of 1939. I joined the company in 1972 after graduating from the University of Arkansas. My family has always taken great pride in providing the finest quality and most beautiful jewelry in the world. I consider our customers our friends, and take great pride in serving third and fourth generations customers and friends. One Uncompromising principle at Murphy’s is to “treat the $10.00 customer exactly the same as the $100,000.00 customer.” It continues to be very rewarding to help celebrate special occasions with our timeless treasures.”
“We take pride in repairing, maintaining, and making jewelry for our customers. Compromising quality for price is something we work to avoid at Murphy’s Jewelers.”
“When I started working in the jewelry business 25 years ago, I thought that jewelry was just something you wore. Very quickly I realized that every piece of jewelry and fine watch means so much more than this. Each piece represents a birthday, anniversary, or other important event in someone’s life. Each time the owner of the jewelry or watch looks at it they are reminded of a special time in their life and of the person that gave it to them, or maybe of an accomplishment they made and rewarded themselves. Because of this we go to great lengths to bring our customers the finest most beautiful jewelry in the world. We take a great pride in this and will never compromise on our quality.”
